1996 was the BKWSU Diamond Jubilee Year, 60 years from incarnation of Shiva and still no Destruction on the horizon. It has now 3,500 centres and claims 500,000 daily students of all age groups and professions meaning that it had added, on average, 6,000 followers every year or 500 per month.
The Janki Foundation for Global Health Care launched in December 1997 at the Royal College of Physicians, London and the BKWSU gained Consultative Status with UNICEF and UN ECOSOC, on the recommendation of its Committee on NGOs.
