Avyakt BapDada 25th December 1985
Brahma has been remembered as the great great grandfather. The incorporeal father has made Brahma the instrument responsible for the creation of the corporal world. He is the creator of the human world, and the memorial of this has been shown in the form of the tree. The seed is incognito. First there are two shoots and the trunk emerges from this. Adi Dev and Adi Devi, the form of the mother and father, are the foundation of the tree, and Brahma is the instrument for this. It is through him that the trunk of Brahmins emerges. Innumerable other branches then emerge from the trunk of Brahmins. This is why Brahma has been remembered as the great great grandfather.
When Brahma incarnates, bad days finish and great days begin. The night finishes and the holy time of Brahma begins (Brahma muharat – the hours of the brahm element – also known as the early morning hours). Although they say “the hours of the brahm element” it is in fact “the time of Brahma”. This is why Brahma has been shown in a mature form.
The incorporeal Father and the grandfather give you grandchildren so many gifts which last for 21 births. He is the bestower of wisdom. He gives you tray-fulls of the jewels of knowledge. He gives you the golden gift of all the powers in an unlimited form. He gives jewellery boxes full with all virtues to you. How many boxes of decorations do you have? Wear new decorations every day and they would not be used up. These gifts will always stay with you. Physical gifts will be left here, but these gifts will go with you. You will not need to work for a living – you will be able to live on these Godly gifts – you will be liberated from all labour.
Everyone has come especially to celebrate Christmas Day. BapDada calls it Kismis (raisins) day – the day of sweetness. Everyone enjoys eating and sharing sweets and you can sweeten someone’s lips in this way for a short while. But if you become sweet yourself, then sweet words will emerge form your lips constantly. Everyone is happy eating and sharing sweet things – in the same way sweet words bring happiness to the self as well as others. So, constantly sweeten everyone’s lips in this way – let your vision, words, and actions always be sweet. This is the way to celebrate Kismis day. To celebrate means to become.
Give everyone sweet drishti for just two moments – speak a few sweet words and that soul will be filled for all time – their world will be transformed – those two sweet words will become instruments for change for all time. The inculcation of sweetness is so special that it can even transform a “bitter land” into a sweet one. Baba transformed all of you with two sweet words (ie in Hindi): you are a sweet and a pure soul. Sweeten everyone’s lips in this way. Always keep this gift of sweetness with you.
Achcha. To those who fill the apron of the intellect with the jewels of knowledge – who are always full of all powers, and constantly decorated with the jewellery of all virtues, and so are elevated souls – to such sweet children who have constant sweetness and sweeten everyone’s lips – BapDada’s love, remembrance, and namaste.

BapDada is seeing his elevated happy little world. On the one hand there is the very huge world without any taste, and on the other hand there is this happy little world. The Brahmin souls in this happy world are completely and constantly full with peace and happiness. On the basis of purity and cleanliness there is the experience of a life of happiness and peace. There can be no trace of even the words sorrow and peacelessness when there is purity and cleanliness. This happy little world is within the fortress of purity. If even a thought goes outside the fort of purity then sorrow and peacelessness will be experienced. If the foot of the intellect remains within the fort then there cannot be any wave of sorrow or peacelessness in thoughts or even in dreams. If there is the slightest experience of sorrow or peacelessness then there has definitely been some form of impure influence. Purity isn’t just a case of conquering lust – all forms of limited desire must be conquered.
There are many desires. First the desire for possessions. Secondly the desire for limited attainment from human beings. Third the many limited desires relating to fulfilment of relationships. Fourth there can be limited desires in service. To conquer all these desires means to finish sorrow and peacelessness for all time. If the intellect is attracted by any perishable object this is an indication that there is still a form of desire, that is, attachment. The words are changed into a royal form and it is said “I don’t have a desire, but I like this”. But whether it refers to an object or an individual, if there is any special attraction, if the object or individual is liked, then that is also a desire. To feel that everything and everyone is good is accurate, but to feel that “I like this one” or “this thing” is inaccurate. This is a royal form of desire.
It may be that you like the way in which someone does service, or the way someone gives sustenance. Or you may like someone’s virtues, or the hard work they do. You may like someone’s renunciation or their nature. To take the fragrance of that goodness and imbibe it within the self is one thing, but because of that goodness, to say that this is the only one who is good, changes that appreciation into desire. That desire divorces the soul from becoming good itself.
Another aspect of desire which brings the soul down is animosity. One form of desire is being impressed, and on the other side is the desire that creates a feeling of jealousy or animosity.
Both desires finish peace and happiness and bring upheaval to the mind. Being impressed brings attachment and the soul comes under the influence of the other. A sign of jealousy and animosity is stubbornness in attempting to prove oneself to be right. Such desires use up much time and energy and the soul doesn’t realise it at that moment. Both aspects cause so much damage that the soul causes distress to others also – the soul takes sorrow and gives sorrow – the foot of the intellect has stepped outside the world of happiness and peace.
So, defeat these royal desires as well. Come to the stage where you are ignorant of what these desires are about. When there are thoughts in either of these two negative areas, so that you say “I will show them” then who will you show? Baba or the Brahmin family? Who will you show? Recognise that you will not be doing something or showing something, you will simply be displaying your own fall. Thinking “I will do this service and show others, I will glorify my name and show others” – this is the intoxication of limited attainment – you will not show a wonder, but a fall. Are these words royal? This is Maya putting on the mask of a lion, but she has influenced the soul and made it a goat! This isn’t cleverness – it is the way to be defeated every kalpa and prevented from entering the sun dynasty – it is to belong to the moon dynasty. Where there is the consciousness of “I” it means the soul has been possessed by some form of limited desire. So let the words you speak be accurate (yukti-yukt) and let your feelings also be completely accurate. Allow neither arrogance nor disregard to come, even the slightest traces of them, because such feelings take you far from the pure feeling of good wishes, and the consciousness of self respect. Self respect moves you away from desires and then you swing in the world of constant happiness and peace – this is the stage of the one who has conquered all desires, the one who has conquered the world.
So, BapDada was seeing the tiny, happy world. Why allow the foot of the intellect to step away from your own land into a foreign land? The religion of the external, the land outside, cases you sorrow. The religion of the eternal self and of your original land is that which gives you happiness. You are the children of the Ocean of Happiness, souls who have claimed these rights, and so remain constantly happy and constantly peaceful. So take your rights and leave behind your weaknesses. Achcha.
To those who constantly live in the world of happiness; to those who have conquered desires; to those elevated souls who constantly have good wishes and pure thoughts for all other souls; to those who are constantly stable on the seat of self respect; to such special souls, BapDada’s love, remembrance, and namaste.

The goddess of contentment is worshipped the most. Why do they worship this goddess? Because in today’s world there is a great deal of tension – there are many problems so discontent and tension is increasing. So you must become jewels of contentment and give the light of contentment to others. First you must remain content with yourself, and then you can be content in service, and then you can be also content with your companions and in all relationships. Only then will you be called the jewel of contentment.
It is also important to become an instrument. Greatness is equal to humility. A tree that is full of fruits will bow down – the one who has humility is able to enjoy immediate fruit. Achcha.

BapDada is celebrating a meeting with the loving children and giving love in return. BapDada is bodiless – he takes the support of a body to make the children bodiless also. When BapDada comes into the body he retains the bodiless stage, giving others the experience of this stage. In the same way all of you can stabilise your consciousness as bodiless souls while in the body, and work through the body to perform actions. In order to follow the Father you must keep your intellect stable on two level of consciousness. Shiva is stable in the bodiless stage, the incorporeal stage. Brahma constantly has the ethereal (akari) consciousness. So stabilise yourself in both these stages of consciousness and follow the Father. Don’t come down into the consciousness of the gross body, the consciousness of humans – these pull the souls down.
Don’t allow any thoughts or dreams to pull you into descent. BapDada has drawn the lines clearly – don’t go outside any line. If there is disobedience, there is distress, and then repentance also. To easily maintain the stage of constant respect and to experience constant attainment, follow the Father. The alokic and the parlokik fathers give you this easy method.
The soul of Brahma in the corporeal form became the instrument to teach you how to perform karma. He is a souls who has completed the full cycle of 84 births. His corporeal life showed you how to be liberated while performing karma; how to be free from the bondage of karma while fulfilling the responsibility of the relationships of karma; how to stay in the body and yet remain in a bodiless state of consciousness; how to be free of bodily bonds by keeping the mind lost in the intoxication of love of One; how to use every penny of wealth in a worthwhile cause. A soul caught in bond of karma became the example and became karmateet. It is easy to follow that corporeal life, is it not? The answer to your questions about the body, relationships or wealth, can be seen in the life of Brahma Baba. Scientists today look to computers for answers. They think that which has been created is more accurate than the ones who created it. But for those of silence, the life of Brahma is an accurate computer, replacing questions with answers. Questions mean upheaval in the intellect – the very sign of a question is crooked. Contentment means a dot – there is nothing crooked in a dot – it appears the same from any direction – it is simple.
So follow Brahma the father in the corporeal form, or follow Brahma the father in the subtle form, or follow Shiv Baba. The words are the same – follow the father.
The corporeal form of Brahma shows the corporeal world the way. None of you call yourselves Shiv kumars – you are called Brahma kumars and kumaris. It is Brahma who becomes an example of living an elevated life while in corporeal form, as well as being the instrument responsible for the corporeal creation. This is why, although Shiv Baba is called the Satguru, the title ‘guru’ is also used for one who teaches, and it is Brahma who has been the instrument responsible to teach the entire world. Therefore you have to follow in every action. Brahma is called the Jagatguru because of this. This is why they give salutations to Brahma, the father of the world – they give him the title of Jagatpita. They don’t call Vishnu or Shankar the ‘Father of the People’. They also use this term ‘Pati’ in the sense of being the lord and master, because while he is the Father and is loved by the world, yet he is also detached from the world to an equal extent. And now he is teaching you in the avyakt form so that you may follow and create the avyakt stage of consciousness. Do you understand? There is no other soul who has this stage of detachment to the same extent.
The body has been taken on loan and must be taken care of. A good master uses the body according to its capacity, and according to place. Some children ask why this chariot in particular has been chosen – even this one (Gulzar bhen) had the same question – just as Brahma did not know the story of his own birth, she has forgotten her own blessing. This was the special blessing given to the child of sakar Baba at the very beginning of the part of having trance visions. This soul played the part of having visions at the very beginning, with Brahma Baba. He sat in tapasya, in solitude, and saw the child’s easy going nature and innocent life. And on seeing these specialities he gave the blessing that as she progressed further the child would continue to be the companion of Baba, and would look after his duty and become equal – the child would play a part in service equal to Brahma Baba’s. That blessing became her line of fortune and so she played the part of becoming equal by becoming the chariot. BapDada congratulates the child for playing that part. There has been the power of adjustment over such a long time, and that speciality of adjustment has been the gift that has given the lift. Yet still BapDada has to be concerned about the body. The musical organ is old and the ones who are using it are very powerful. Although there is the lesson of ‘haji’ (saying yes) and it is still moving well, yet BapDada has to use it in the right way and with precision. There is the promise to meet, but the method of meeting will have to change accordingly with time.
To those who are easy effort makers and follow the father in all aspects; to those who are constantly contented special souls; to those who constantly work through the instrument of the body and make it perform karma; to the master creator children; to the children who respond with their lives to BapDada’s love; to such children, love and remembrances filled with all affection, and namaste.
