A free Quran Reciter software program is available here:

When you get to the webpage above, click on QRFull31.exe to download the program. The first sura of the Quran, al fatiha, comes with the reciter program. After installing the reciter, go to:

and download additional MP3 verses of the Quran, which are also free. Right click on a verse, select "save target as" and save it to this directory:

C:\Program Files\QuranReciter\mp3

You can download two verses at a time. It's beautifully recited...very poetic...and the Quran Reciter screen shows you the Arabic and English translations as the verse are being recited. You don't have to be a practising muslim -I am not - to appreciate the soothing sounds of the recitations.

Note: after downloading additional MP3 verses of the Quran, they don't show up in the reciter list. You have to close the reciter screen and open it again, then you'll see the additional verses loaded. Also, the verses won't show up in the reciter unless the MP3 files have been save to this path: C:\Program Files\QuranReciter\mp3
