Sister Jayanti
Born in India of Sindhi parents, who migrated to England when she was eight years old, she is a blend of Eastern wisdom and Western education and culture. She joined the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University at the age of 19 and has trained with them for more than 30 years, generally acting as translator and travelling companion to Dadi Janki. She has co-ordinated several international projects in connection with women, development, the environment and youth.
Jayanti continues to play an extremely pivotal role in assisting the co-ordination of the organisation and has been an Advisor to the Council for a Parliament of the World's Religions and Advisory Committee Member of the International Interfaith Centre and she is a member of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of Faiths.
Listed as author of a number of book made from her lectures, she is also heard on numerous BK Raja Yoga guided meditation tape recordings.
