Would appreciate information on Dada Lekhraj's ancestry
Posted: 17 Dec 2012My husband is Dada Lekhraj's grand nephew and I would really appreciate it if anyone could give me information on his ancestry so I could work out a family tree. Thank you.

I can put you in touch with people researching the history. We also have the list of Om Mandli members from the early days which will give you some of the names and relationships to help you start. His son is still alive.
I am not Sindhi and so it is difficult for me to work out the families' naming convention. It appears they were often spelt in an irregular ways too which makes it hard to trace.
Can you tell me if there is any traditional way to make or recognise names, e.g. the use of a middle name like Lekhraj Khubchand Kripalani? Where would the middle name come from?
