Do you have a link for that? Amazing ... it's always been 2 to 3 years since the very beginning. When I was a BK in the 1980s, it was the same, "two to three years". They've just worked out that it hooks people in. Soon enough so that enough people will gamble a couple of years, long enough that they'll be enculterated into the lifestyle and values, and forget.

All I can say is that politicians and society in general have done nothing but help doomsday cults and apocalytic gurus make their predictions seem inevitable

I actually agree with you in that conclusionm, but it's not what the BKs teach. Not that they are honest at all. It would be the easiest way to understand what has gone on, and more evidence of Lekhraj Kirpalani confused visions of the future.

It's all been a massive confidence trick in the here and now. A money making scheme to keep a small elite in comforts.

That's the only thing we can be absolutely sure of.

Defenders will say, "Oh, the BK Seniors live simple lives". May be in comparison to Westerners. May be even in comparison than the Indian upper and middle classes (although they probably travel more). But in comparison to the beggars they would have been without turning to religion as a business, they are living like kings and queens, surrounded by servants. Treated like celebrities within the BK world.

Meanwhile, for the BK masses, is a nuclear war still just around the corner to keep them all in line, and emptying their bank accounts?
