Brahma Kumaris openly hold out the begging bowl for corporate sponsorship ... a position entirely against Shrimat (
their own religious principles) only a few years ago. They even offer "name and fame" above their front door. The old rules were no money from individuals not following their principles as it was "impure".
When we will see "BapDada 2011 Season ...
sponsored by Limca TM"!?!
BK World renewal spiritual TrustA Charitable institute "BK World Renewal Spiritual Trust" of Mulund requires sponsorship from Corporates for constructing its building. I wonder if they would accept money from Burger King. Would they name their new building "The grilled beef with extra onions and fries Hall of eternal Knowledge" for example?

Perhaps we should approach them with an offer?
It would be worth screening the corporate sponsors of the BKWSU. Interestingly, Burger King own all the "BK®" trademark.
Who is that big sponsor bank rolling the BKWSU in Africa and what pies do they have their fingers in? What do the BKs publish about any of their big sponsors (they have even started taking their names off the Avyakt Murlis)?
It is probably about time to do an ethical review.

I think it is a slippery slope. Is there not a tendency of a certain type of businessmen to donate to temples etc instead of paying taxes in order to clean his karma?
I suppose this might be understandable in a country like India where there is rampant corruption. At least the money is staying in the community and there would be a direct return.
But why did we bother putting on a pretense and tying ourselves in knots before ... and how long has this been going on?
I am starting to wonder if it was practiced at the top all a long (e.g. Lekhraj Kirpalani's secret woman financier after the Om Mandli money ran out). Perhaps the "rule" was more about ensuring that the lower BKs orders, and individual centers, did not benefit themselves in the same way, thereby gaining power and position ... or badly screwing up business for the BKWSU.
It looks like the J. Watumull Global Hospital was just the start it all. Hawaii based J Watumull Fund has assets of $10,595,223. J. Watumull or the Watumull Brothers donated money to the John McCain (Republican) presidential campaign. Another right wing military connection.

Another case of the BKs holding out the begging bowl in contradiction to their Gyan which specifically states they should not to so. Hypocrites.
What a joke ... look at the list of activities they are claiming! "Art & Culture, Disaster Management, Education & Literacy, New & Renewable Energy, Women's Development & Empowerment, Youth Affairs"
