[Campaign] Murli requests from BKs to BrahmaKumaris.Info

Post20 May 2009

Given the split off between BK and ex- BK sites, should not the Murli requests be appearing on the BK side of the Admin?

Questioning the Murli Campaign

The BK-PBK.Info is entirely independentally run. The registration process clearly states this forum is for ex-BK and points BK and PBK users to the other forums. Yet we remain, by far, the largest of a very few resources of Murlis on the internet, hence active BKs continue to join.

If you or any other user wishes take an interest in the running of this forum and are looking for voluntary duties on this forum, there is a list of request, here; "Wishlist.

It would also include the uploading of original and recent Murlis to the Encyclopedia, if you can access them via your BK partner. As a rule, the BKWSU discouraged BKs from doing so.

It remains our concern that all copies of all original and unedited Murlis should be made available for anyone that wishes to read them; and that all individuals should neither be obstructed from them nor encouraged into a dependent relationship with the leadership of the BKWSU because of their monopoly of the Murlis.

BK adherents requests for Murlis are documented here as a public display of consensus within the movement that the Murlis should be freely made public and not kept secreted away behind password and encrypted servers.

The last thing I want to do is disseminate Murlis!

We believe the provision of the Murlis is positive in at least three ways:

    Firstly,

free provision of the Murlis empowers the Brahma Kumari adherent allowing direct access to their god's teachings without requiring them to subject themselves personally, financially and vicariously to the unaccountable BKWSU leadership.

    Secondly,

open provision of the Murlis assists non-BK, such as family and friends, access and understand the real core teachings of the Brahma Kumaris. In short, it potentially encourages BKWSU adherents to have to be honest about what they believes, simply because the truth is in the public domain.

    Thirdly,

documenting them in an easily searchable archice allows us to track and evidence the censorship and historical revision that the BKWSU leadership are engaged in, hiding their god's failures, anomalies and contradictions from their neophyte adherents.
Lastly, a complete archive of published Murlis in English and Hindi will prove a very useful resource for academics, and other professionals (such as therapists), wishing to study them.
