No I'm not talking about dodgy Indian gurus  but your XBKChat picture - has anyone had problems uploading a picture? I have tried with a few different pictures all conforming to the requriements of 'no greater than 120 pixels, the height no greater than 120 pixels, and the file size no more than 15 KB' but I always get the same error message like this -

Hi there,
Yes, I kept getting the same error message when I tried to upload the image to XBK's server.
I got around this problem by posting the picture on a live web page of mine and then linking to that. You can find that option on the 'Link to off-site Avator' option on your Profile page.

I made many attempts using different formats and sizes, and nothing worked. Thanks Kyzzie for the workaround. |

So that means you need your own web space?  |

If you don't have your own web space, you can upload an image from your hard drive to an image hosting site such as http://www.imagehosting.us which will give you a URL (in this case 'Direct Picture Link') which you can enter in your XBK profile 'Link to off-site Avatar'. In theory you can also just get the URL for any online image and use that (ie bypass the image hosting thing) but most such images will be too big and will require editing first. |
