This is well worth a look.
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The latest expeditions to ice caps in the high, tropical Peruvian Andes Mountains by Ohio State University scientists may shed light on a mysterious global climate change they believe occurred more than 5,000 years ago. |

Celticgyan,
A good read would be the Mayan Prophesies. Also, a trip to the ruins and a visit with the Mayan people would be most intriguing as they believe in a 5,000 year cycle. I once saw the most common of folks (Toltec Indians), render animals unconscious with their sight alone. I saw this done with chickens, they were taking to market. Most fascinating that the average Indians can do this, irrespective of gender. The women I saw woke the chicken for me and then put it in a deep sleep again as I thought perhaps they had whacked the chicken thereby rendering it docile. I thanked them in obliging my curiosity and disbelief.
Gives cause to the old saying "Evil Eye", maybe there is something there after all beyond a simple saying.
I must say the Mayan language is very unique and to me it sounds unlike anything I have become accustomed to hearing. The Mayan people are most reserved about this and will primarily speak in Spanish.
Regards,
Tete |
