Om Shanti. One member of this forum "khormozian" has asked the folowing questions regarding PBKs. Since the Visitors column is not the appropriate section for the PBKs to give a detailed reply, I am posting my reply under a new topic.

1. I am a BK and I have heard from people in the centre that I attend that PBKs do not observe Brahmacharya. If this is not the case, please don’t take offence. I am not making that claim but I don’t know any PBKs who can tell me one way or the other. Would any of the PBKs please clarify this aspect for me?

Ans: It is totally false that PBKs do not observe Brahmacharya. They are also bound by the rule of Brahmacharya (purity of mind, body and speech). A book on the the points related to purity in the murlis and avyakta vanis has been published by the Advance Party (PBKs). If required a copy could be sent to you by email. Although purity cannot be imbibed by reading a book, however, it can give a glimpse of what Baba expects from us.

2. Also, after reading some of the comments on this site from PBKs and XBKs, I am curious about PBK views on regular BK practices, such as:

- offering bhog
----- Offering bhog is like following the path of worship (bhaktimarg). Hence, Bhog is not offered to Shivbaba in the manner that BKs adopt. Instead Baba says that food should be cooked, served and eaten in Baba's remembrance and in soul consciousness.

- amrit vela ----- Although officially 2 AM to 4 AM is considered to be the amritvela by the PBKs, following the same depends on the individual capacity of various souls. The more one practices the more the benefit. A meaning of Amritvela is also given in an unlimited sense by Shivbaba to the PBKs. He says that whoever has recognized the practical role of the sun of knowledge, for him or her the period from that time is considered to be unlimited Amritvela.

- giving drishti to food before eating ----- As mentioned earlier, eating in the remembrance of Baba and in soul consciousness is enough. I have not heard about such a practice among PBKs.

- meditation before picture of Brahma Baba (or BapDada) ------ Remembeing Shivbaba sitting in front of any picture is also like following the path of worship (bhakti). Baba has himself adviced against such a practice in various murlis. Keeping Brahma baba's photo is also against shrimat. PBKs remember the incorporeal father Shiva through his corporeal medium, but the picture of the corporeal medium is not necessary for this. However, whenever Baba is practically sitting in front of PBKs to teach them Rajyoga, the PBKs do take drishti from Him, as it contains powerful vibrations.

Thanks for your querries,
With regards,
ON Godly service,

arjuna, thank you very much for your reply. I have to tell you that when I was told that pbks don't follow path of purity, my initial thought is that the soul figured that it would be the easiest way to convince me not to look into it any further. It is also possible that the soul was simply repeating what they had been told. I will definitely correct their misunderstanding.

I would very much appreciate it if you could email me that book on purity points.

Dear Papaya bhai, Omshanti.
Regarding Baba's views about Bhog I am quoting a small murli point narrated by Shivbaba through Brahma Baba.
• "This bhog (eatables etc. offered to God) etc. is neither knowledge nor meditation. One should not have any connection with these things." (18-7-70 pg-4)

Dear Brothers and Sisters

Last year I heard a class by Sister Jayanti in which she said that PBKs don't follow the teachings of purity. In my experience this couldn't be further from the truth. It is an easy way to try and turn BKs away from the Father. The BK seniors seem to be very frightened that any BK should even look at Advanced Knowledge. In the same lecture Sister Jayanti warned that an interest in so called Advanced Knowledge was just ego of the intellect and was the greatest danger in causing fluctuation in the Brahmin family.

I didn't hear the following first hand but apparently one of the senior brothers in Madhaban has warned the Madhabanwasis that even if they click on the "pbk website" their fortune will be lost.

I daresay the BK seniors think they are protecting their flock but clearly they don't think brahmins have the intellect to weigh up the points on who exactly is the Father.

Om Shanti

Omshanti. In continuation of what Jim bhai has written above I would like to add that after being closed for the fear of PBKs, the discussion forum on www.brahmakumaris.com.au has once again started but with the following condition:

"There have been some modifications to the Forum board. The "Soapbox" and "Exotic language and ideas section" have been removed to encourage users to have focussed discussions on specific topics. As part of a new administrative measure, it can take up to 72 hours for a post to appear on some Forums from the original date. We apologise for this possible delay."

The above rule is obviously to prevent any PBK from making any post directly or indirectly to reveal the practical role of Shivbaba. 72 hours are enough to censor any information, especially that provided or asked by PBKs.But the silver lining is that they have allowed a thread about this forum under the topic "Xbk's Have Started Bk Section, Finally there will be only one shop"
