It seems that the scientists are beginning to close the gap!

Yup. It seems so.
The quote by Ford is Quite positive in experience.
Clearly world is much limited to anyone, if they dont welcome new things. As BKs, PBKs limited to what they know, similarly XBKs are limited to their experience to say anything as ignorant. Also non-BKs are limited in their beliefs. However new inventions suddenly change the things what was their belief till then. People had never expected so much change in world technology and material world.
When ancient knowledge in science matching to modern science, we never can under estimate the ancient world, what it was? Probably there are many things that are hidden, which scientists would discover soon or later.
Logically time machine is impossible, otherwise there would have been nothing to discover.

Also there are points to be noted and understood from BK world.
If world drama is not a repeated cycle then knowing past and future for GOD is some thing higher task, and absolutely impossible for human.
And also if there was never ending past then we would have to under estimate our human intellect as poor (which is not true) since we are evolving much now.
